The All India Exporters' Chamber is the oldest voluntary body of Indian exporters' established in early 1959. It was formed through a merger of The African Overseas Exporters' Chamber and The All India Exporters' Association and is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. From its headquarters in Mumbai, it provides information facilities and services to client globally.
To facilitate Better Communication with members and other Trade Associations, the Chamber implemented Microsoft Email and Website Services at its Mumbai office.
The Chamber employees are now empowered to work more efficiently. The Communication with the members and with other Trade Associations has improved .
Business Situation
All India Exporter’s Chamber was a Industry Association whose primary role was to effectively Communicate with its members on various Policy and other issues .With the Booming Economy, the workload increased . This resulted in slowing down of response time .
The Chamber invited Techgyan, an award winning Microsoft Certified Small Business Specialist to offer a Solution.
Solution
Techgyan proposed a Solution based on Microsoft Hosted Services comprising of Domain name registration , Web space for Website , Email Boxes for Users with Anti Virus & Anti Spam filtering.
First Techgyan booked a domain www.aiechamber.org . Next step was creation of user mailboxes on Microsoft Servers . Next Techgyan configured the local Outlook 2007 of the Office PC with the mailboxes . Finally the existing ISP based email id was forwarded to the new email Account. With mailing in place , Techgyan then designed the website www.aiechamber.org with relevant content.

Solution Overview
Email: The new email system implemented was of the type name@aiechamber.org. This helped in creation of distinct branding for the Chamber. The Outlook was configured such that the mails , Contacts and Calendar of the Outlook was always in sync with online mailbox. All incoming mails were scanned in real time for virus and spam .
Document Sharing : The Document library was created on the Internet Server . This Document workspace was then integrated with local Outlook of the PC.
Website: The website was then created with all the relevant content. The members now had access to all relevant information on the website.
