Business Situation:
New growth opportunities threw up new challenges in form of increased users and need to implement SAP across users from different Group Companies and locations.
This called for upgrading the network infrastructure for which Jai Corp commissioned Techgyan to implement a comprehensive solution.
Solution:
Techgyan implemented MS Exchange 2007 as a messaging Platform for all users . Windows Small Business Server 2003 R2 premium was implemented for SAP roll out . Finally Windows 2003 R2 Server was implemented for Go Global , a web enabling solution for SAP users.

Jai Corp had an existing infrastructure of Windows Small Business Server 2003 Premium . The Company faced new challenges which required it to look for a more scalable solution a) increase in the number of users and amalgamation of Group Companies meant that the projected users would soon overshoot the limit of Small Business Sever. B) decision to implement SAP for all group Companies using common Networking Infrastructure . c) need for a web enabling solution for SAP.
Jai Corp initiated discussions with Techgyan, their Technology Partner for the required Solution. Techgyan implemented MS Exchange 2007 for Messaging for all users. SAP was implemented on Small Business Server 2003R2 premium . A thin client solution , GO Global , was implemented on a separate Windows 2003 R2 server to web enable SAP.
Situation:
Jai Corp had an existing infrastructure of Windows Small Business Server 2003 Premium . This was essentially used for messaging , file & print and security .
The Company faced new challenges which required it to look for a more scalable solution.:
a) Increase of users and amalgamation of Group Companies meant that the projected users would soon overshoot the limit of Small Business Server.
b) Decision to implement SAP for all group Companies using common networking infrastructure.
c) Need for a web enabling solution for all SAP users.
Jai Corp involved its Technology partner , Techgyan, to work out a Solution which would address its challenges.
Solution:
After careful study , Techgyan recommended the following solution to Jai Corp : a)Migration of all existing Small Business Server users to new server running Exchange 2007 and Windows 2003 R2. b) migrating users of group Companies who were using POP mail to new Exchange 2007 Server. c) implement SAP on Windows Small Business Server 2003 R2 Premium . The SQL Server bundled in Small Business Server 2003 Premium provided the Database service to SAP . d) implement a thin client solution ( GO Global) on a separate Windows 2003 R2 Server to web enable the SAP application implemented on Windows SBS Premium Server.
Benefits:
Once the complete Solution was implemented , Jai Corp experienced the following benefits :
a) All users across group Companies and across locations now have access to uniform Messaging environment ( Exchange 2007 and ERP Environment (SAP).
b) Implementation of Windows Sharepoint Services 3.0 gives all users a state of the art Intranet Solution and facilitates document sharing .
c) Setup of Team Sites on Windows Sharepoint Services has enabled creation of virtual Teams leading to improved Collaboration .
d) Centralized backup of files, data and mails has been automated thus increasing the system availability.
e) A radically simplified networking infrastructure consisting of 2 nos. of Windows 2003 R2 Servers and one no. of Windows Small Business Server 2003 R2 premium meant that the manageability of the Infrastructure was simplified.
